On December 12, the Silk Road Mining Forum·2020 was held in Beijing. The theme of this forum is "Supporting and Leading the Internationalization of China's Mining Industry". It aims to discuss the direction and strategy of international mining cooperation under the global new crown pneumonia epidemic, as well as how to ensure the security of national energy and resources, and how mining companies are global Issues such as resource allocation. The forum was co-sponsored by the Global Mineral Resources Strategic Research Center of the Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences, China Geological Survey, Beijing Institute of Geology of Minerals Co., Ltd., and the Overseas Resources Economic Geology Professional Committee of the Geological Society of China, and undertaken by CNMC Silk Road Resources Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd.

Li Pengde, member of the Standing Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and deputy director of the China Geological Survey of the Ministry of Natural Resources, and Ge Honglin, member of the Standing Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and Party Secretary of the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association attended the forum and delivered speeches. More than 300 guests from the China Geological Survey and its directly affiliated units, large mining companies, and geological prospecting units attended the forum. The opening ceremony was presided over by Wang Jingbin, vice president of China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association and director of the Overseas Resources Economic Geology Professional Committee of the Chinese Geological Society.
